Shih-Ming Lin is a doctoral student in the Graduate Institute of Technological and Vocational Education at National Taipei University of Technology and a visiting researcher at the SF209 Lab. His academic journey uniquely bridges engineering, finance, and education, combining over a decade of industry experience with advanced research training.
He began his career in the technology sector, where he spent more than ten years as a product manager and project manager. He later served for five years at the National Taipei University of Technology’s Innovation and Incubation Center, implementing entrepreneurship education programs for the Ministry of Education and mentoring student startups. These experiences provided him with deep insights into industry needs and the challenges facing technical and vocational education students.
His research currently focuses on advanced quantitative methodologies in social science research, with specialized expertise in complex survey sampling designs and missing data analysis. His interdisciplinary background—spanning electrical engineering, finance, and human resource development—enables him to bring a rigorous, data-driven perspective to modeling complex organizational data. Looking ahead, he aims to pursue postdoctoral research to bridge advanced statistical methods with practical applications, contributing to methodological innovation and workforce development.
